Automotive sales, believe it or not, has been in my family for 50 years!  My father sold cars as did my younger brother, which led me into the business.  The majority of my experience has been right here in the Motor City.  I have found it a pleasure to serve and satisfy Michiganders in their automotive needs since 1987.

I have been in the business for the past 20 years and it has given me great success and many honors, privileges, and benefits in assisting customers and serving them over and over again.

I started my first career at General Motors seven days out of high school at Romulus Engine Operation in Romulus, Michigan. During my 31 years there, I worked in different machining areas, was on many quality teams, and my last 11 years I was appointed Health and Safety Instructor until I retired In August of 2004. After I retired from General Motors, I moved down to Orlando, Florida for almost 2 years. Unfortunately, my family were all here in Michigan, so back I came.

I live in Livonia and have three beautiful daughters that can keep me pretty busy. As I was sitting around thinking about my second career I thought, you know General Motors was great to me the first time around, so why not sell vehicles for them now! I knew my father bought many cars through George Matick Chevrolet over the years and I knew how George Matick Chevrolet cares about customers.

I'm proud to be a part of the Matick team, a team that cares about people. I'm on my second career, and everyday I love to come to work! If there's any thing I can do for you give me a call and I will be happy to assist you.

Prior to coming to George Matick Chevrolet, I had careers in both the insurance industry (as a safety consultant) and in the field of education (as an administrator, teacher, and coach).

This is my second “go round” at George Matick Chevrolet as I was the assistant-head-porter to legendary Charlie “General” Miller while in high school. From there, I furthered my education at Albion College majoring in Economics and Business Mgt. While at Albion, I learned many valuable lessons on life and leadership while playing for legendary Football Coach Pete Schmidt. During my time at Albion, we capped-off an undefeated season in 1994 with a victory in the Division III National Championship Game by a blowout over Washington & Jefferson (PA). Coach Schmidt always talked about preparation and knowledge as the key to any successful endeavor and I’ve taken that with me throughout my professional life. Nowadays, I try to help all of our salespeople prepare themselves with the knowledge they need in order to give you a great buying experience.

As our General Sales Manager, I try to make sure that our customers know they are the most important part of our business. Without our customers (and more importantly their complete satisfaction) George Matick Chevrolet doesn’t exist. That is why every day we create a relaxed, friendly, and full-disclosure atmosphere for our customers to shop in. Buying a vehicle is a very important decision and we always want our customers to feel good about the decision the make. As a native Detroiter, I love being involved in the automotive business and contributing to the economic success of the industry we “built”. Outside of work, I’m an avid golfer and football fan. There is no place I would rather be on Saturday afternoons than Ann Arbor in the “Big House” with my family and friends. Additionally, I have the utmost respect for our men and women who serve our great nation and defend the freedoms we enjoy everyday. I can’t thank you all enough!
